The Account Planner is a key player within the agency who holds a valuable role in supporting KERN’s success. Working with other strategic counterparts, the Account Planner is responsible for understanding the client’s target audience and viewing the communications through the consumer’s POV while collaborating with Account Management, Creative, Strategy and IT to identify and deliver strategic campaigns that solve our clients’ business and consumer needs.
Role and Responsibilities:
The ideal Account Planner will be a strategic and critical thinker who is highly informed and curious about consumer behaviors, needs, wants and expectations from our clients’ brands. He/she will utilize their solid foundation of consumer and industry research to uncover and apply key insights that advises the Creative, Account and clients on the optimal strategic marketing approach.
As a key team member within the Strategy department, the Account Planner will report directly to the VP of Strategy and also provide support to the Director of Strategy and Data Analysts.
